New bendable thermoplastic reinforcements to improve the durability and viability of concrete structures

The aim of this TOP-CRETE project is to develop a new fibre-reinforced thermoplastic (TP) reinforcement, while optimising its composition and production process and developing recycling approaches.
Thanks to direct funding from the Conseil régional de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, CANOE, leader of WP4 « Sustainability-based assessment and optimization of the TP FRP rebars », will be in charge of the assessment and optimization of fibre-reinforced thermoplastic (TP) rebars, as well as the section on recycling and sustainability of materials.
TOP-CRETE is an M-ERA.NET project, involving 6 partners from 5 different countries, which aims to design and develop new embedded, bendable, durable and recyclable fibre-reinforced thermoplastic (TP) reinforcements (FRP) for a new concept of highly durable and high-performance reinforced concrete structures, thus contributing to sustainability and the circular economy.
